Staying connected with your student and NC State…

Parents and families are essential partners in supporting students’ success in college. Since 2000, the Office of Parents and Families Services has had the opportunity to partner with hundreds of thousands of families, promoting and achieving student success. From big events such as Parents and Families Weekend to new initiatives like the Pack Family Regions, their efforts ensure that NC State parents and families are engaged and connected with the Wolfpack community.

All students who are on track to being the first generation in their family to complete a bachelor’s degree are recognized as First in the Family.

First in the Family is one of the key collaborations that enhance the support and engagement of First-Generation students and families. With an array of activities hosted throughout the academic year, we work together to honor and celebrate all who are a part of this journey.

Students, parents, and families are invited to take a break from the big move and drop into the E. Carroll Joyner Visitor Center for a casual meet and greet with fellow First in the Pack students and families, on-campus resource offices, VIP partners, current students and more!
